Early history

Lobster Games' history started in the mid 1980s when Bjørn begun learning programming on his Commodore 64. Over the next several years and platforms, Bjørn grew an affection for development which lead to a professional development career beginning in 1994. Spending the next 20 years in corporate software development prepared him for a new start as a professional game developer in early 2014. Lena Thorsmæhlum has experience from all over the world in film, theatre, art production, art interventions, visual design and project management, including working in North Korea, Angola, and Cambodia. She has both 2D and 3D graphics experience and can create art from concept to completed game graphics.

After that

Lena and Bjørn, having been married and pursuing separate careers since 2008 decided to move to Costa Rica and start working on joint projects in 2014. Having a common interest in games and storytelling, game development became the natural path. After around a year of preparation, including building the innovative Wizh.NET interactive story platform, the couple started LOBster Games in 2015 to develop and publish their own games.
